SOURCE: 2001 S Type Jaguar ABS and Traction Control fault lights on Hi First I suggest that you get a diagonostic check on ABS system. and then a visual inspection of the brakes. Warped brake rotors do not make noice, but the steering will start to judder when brakes applied at around speeds from 40 up .
1 Answer. A friend of mine had the same problem, and he found out that the problem was caused by trying to cut fuel costs by using regular unleaded gasoline instead of the required Super or Premium grade that is supposed to be used in the Jag. Once he filled it up again using Premium Unleaded the problem disappeared.
2 CHECK IGNITION TIMING. 1. Run engine at about 2,000 rpm for about 2 minutes under no-load. 2. Rev engine (2,000 to 3,000 rpm) two or three times under no-load, then run engine at idle speed. 3. Turn off engine and disconnect throttle position sensor harness connector. 4.
All three of these are tested when the engine is being cranked over. There are two way of checking for fuel. Fuel pressure and fuel trigger. Both are very important and must be present for the engine to start. Fuel pressure is self explanatory. You just hook up the gage and see what the reading is. Fuel trigger is check with a noid light.
1) DPF light still coming on after two or three weeks of driving, reset it with a long drive, but will come back on again. 2) DSC light coming on and triggering restricted performance mode and car slows right down, this seems to happen mostly as I put my foot down to accellerate hard, driving "miss Daisy" style DSC and restricted performance
SOURCE: My 20003 Jag wont go over 10 mph. I have a OBD II. This is a manafacturer fault code not a generic, so you would need specialist eqpt to read. However looking this up it says its an air intake temperature sensor circuit intermittent high voltage.
